Not sure what to say?

Still talk about Grant´s visit to Ohio to visit family at 88 years old. He stayed with us for several days and it was so enjoyable. We had a backyard family reunion and went bass fishing. It was a genuine good time.

I think about Grant often. So thankful we got together before he passed away

Grant was a very special person to all of Humboldt County. He made a difference in many, many lives. He would always stand up for what he believed in and clearly loved his country. He was very proud to have served this great country in the military. I could always count on Grant and Kate to assist me, and to give me advice. He came to my defense in meetings more than once and helped settle the crowd down with his no nonsense appoach. God bless them both for they were so special to me and...

Dear Grant Ramey Family:
I was sorry to learn of Grant's passing, although I know he must have done it in style, on All Hallows Eve yet! I knew Grant as one of the best Community Activists and Volunteers for McKinelyville. Whenever something or someone needed help Grant was the go to guy. I met Grant many years ago through Herb Miller and later Anna Sparks and Patsy Dixon. He and Kate were quite a pair always supporting the community. As a news reporter for KINS Radio I always loved...

Grant with a 25-lb salmon he caught, August 2010.

Uncle Grant was the last of the grown-ups, those family members who were adults when I was a kid. Grant was never short of an opinion or a helping hand. He helped many through the years, including my father when he was troubled. I had the opportunity to spend some time with Grant the last few years, and I'm very glad to have done so. We went fishing of the Washington coast in August of this year and he out-fished most of the people on the boat. I'll miss Grant. He was a strong man with a good...

Grant was generous with his support and his good sense of humor. It was due to Grant and Aunt Kate during my college years that I was able to acquire a degree from Humbmoldt State. They allowed me to share their home. It was filled with love and laughter and I will always be grateful.

My Uncle Grant has always been very special to me all these years. We had so much of an unteresting life that has long gone by. I'm so happy that thru the years I kept up with both him an Aunt Kate., as those were special years. He always gave me good advice just like Grandma Ramey did. He will truly be missed, but I'm just glad I called him every month an sent cards to him. I even called on his birthday but was unable to reach him. He sure hit his milestone in...

I have always cherished and looked up to Uncle Grant! We had so many happy times together when I was growing up and through phone conversations throughout my life. We had just spoken earlier this past summer and he had told me how he was getting our Family History book together and I would soon have a copy to pass on to my kids. We always had wonderful talks and he always had a way of making me feel good. He and Aunt Kate wre there for me when I lost my Father William Vernon Sarver back in...
