Dear Maud, Anita, and Carolyn,
I read of Dr. Coggs's death in this Sunday's IJ and I was so touched that you reached out to all your friends in Marin in this way. He has been a lifelong inspiration to me and the time I spent as part of the family has enriched me in untold and unfathomable ways. I loved seeing Granviille and Maude a few years ago when they came to church to share their experiences with us. In some way I feel I have lost another parent.
I now sing in the church choir,...

Megan and Eric, her husband have Sophia Grace my 2 yr old great grand dtg. Cherie is 60 this yr, she lives in Clearlake with...

It is with great sorrow that I read of the passing of Dr. Coggs..What a wonder medical and military career this man had..I have never meet this person.. I read his name in the Obits and continued with his story. Joined the Military, became a "Tuskegee Airman", obtaining the rank of Lt. Colonel,a graduate of the University of Nebraska. On and on...This man served his Country all his life.. He gave it all. Colonel Coggs you are one of "America"s Greatest Generation". My regret is that I...

May you rest in peace as a fellow Vietnam air force u salute you. You have done many accomplishments!

The Coggs family do not know me, but in reading Dr. Coggs' obituary, I was inspired to send condolences to each of them as well as an affirmation of how impressed I was with this man's life and contributions. I read obituaries each day, and, although many of those tributes reflect admirable lives, Dr. Coggs' life impressed me as SUPER-ADMIRABLE. I clipped his obit from the paper and am sending copies to my adult children. More than ever do we need people whose lives inspire all of us --...
