Burkhart Funeral Home - Crawfordsville Obituary

Greg Bryant of Crawfordsville passed away Friday afternoon at St. Vincent's Hospice. He was 68.

Mr. Bryant was a 1966 graduate of Seeger Memorial High School and earned a degree from Purdue in 1971. He served his country in the Army from 1971-1973. Greg was a member of the American Legion Post 72, Masonic Lodge #50 and the Eagles. He worked at Sommer Metalcraft for nearly 30 years.

Born February 7, 1948 in Williamsport, Indiana, he was the son of Quentin and Maxine Bryant. He married Janet Ford on February 12, 1972 in Boswell. They have been blessed with 44 years together.

He will be missed by his loving family, which includes: wife, Janet Bryant of Crawfordsville; son, Charles Bryant, and his wife, Scottie, of Austin, Texas; daughter, Margaret Bryant of Crawfordsville; son, Benjamin Bryant of Washington, D.C.; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Gavin, Dylan, Thomas and Katherine; brother, John Oelslager and sister, Marcia Fusek.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with his wishes, he has been cremated. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Thursday at Burkhart Funeral Home. Memorial service will be at 11 AM Friday, August 26th at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
