Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Greg. He was a great choir friend as well as Karen for many years. My mother also knew the family through her church activities. I have just found out about this news and am deeply sorry that I missed Greg´s service. Sending prayers to the family.

Dr. Jeane was one of my all time favorite professors and had a great impact on my career trajectory to also become a geography professor. As a geography major at Samford many years ago, I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Jeane´s courses and fascinating stories, including in World Regional Geography, Human Geography, Asia Land and People, Latin America Land and People, and of course the all time favorite U.S. and Canada Regional Geography summer field camp traveling thousands of miles across the western...

Sending my love from the northern outskirts of Germany, I want to express my deepest condolences for your loss. I was honored to experience Greg´s (and the family´s) hospitality many times, many years ago. He was a truly decent and wonderful person, inspiring those around him with his kindness, wit, and humor. His presence made a difference in my life. Cherished memories of Greg will live on not only in the hearts of his friends across North America and Africa but also in Europe. Karen and...

Comfort Planter

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Greg was a great man who inspired me in many ways as a Rotarian. He started our annual Rotary Teacher of The Year Awards, and then passed those duties on to me. I remain honored that Greg thought me worthy of continuing the awards which were so dear to him. I am praying for peace and comfort for all of you during this difficult time.

Dr. Jeane was such a sweet and kind man. Always had a smile. So glad I had the privilege of knowing him. May the Lord bless y'all with peace.

I knew Greg through Vestavia Hills Rotary Club. Greg, a past Rotarian of the Year, was a beloved Rotarian whose heart and dedication touched the lives of so many, especially the children of Mawandi, Zambia. Greg understood the power of Service above Self and worked tirelessly to bring hope, education and opportunity to those who needed it most. Under Greg´s leadership, our Rotary Club became involved in the Mawandi Children´s Center. I will always remember Greg´s videos of his Zambia mission...

Loved many years I spent with him in the IPC Choir.

Sending you our love and sympathy from Mwandi and Sikuzu over your loss. Go well my brother. Till the break of day. Keith & Ida
