Gregg was a consistent champion and the voice of reason for the many diverse voices in the building of the Garden. He loved the peace and tranquility of the Garden and I used to find him writing his "speakers notes" in his role as NW Natural´s CEO in the Knowing the Fish Pavilion. Dear Kantor Family, I was heartbroken to hear of Gregg´s passing, and I wanted to share just a few words about what he meant to me. Gregg and I were roommates at UCSB from 1977 to 1979, and during that time-and ever since-I came to admire him deeply. He was, without question, one of the most intelligent people I´ve ever known.
