Sonny was a kind and caring person. I will always remember the many times we would stop on our travels from Nebraska to Renovo and visit with him and Pearl. They always welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like a member of the family. It was fun recalling the times in my youth that we would visit Aunt Libby and my Dad would go to the local VFW with Sonny to have an adult beverage and I tagged along.
