LUNA, Gregorio Jr. - Of Flint, age 82, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at McLaren-Flint.



 



Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton,



 



Father Steve Anderson officiating.



 



Cremation will take place following the Mass.



 



In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Martus Luna Food Pantry.



 



Visitation 4-8pm Thursday and 11am-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Saturday at church until the time of the Mass.



 



Gregorio was born on March 28, 1934, in San Antonio, Texas, to Gregorio (Sr.) and Celestina (Reyes) Luna. Mr. Luna was a long time member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Mr. Luna was a butcher for 20 years, employed by Vogt's Packing Company and he also worked for General Motors. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.



 



Surviving are his children, Frank (Cheryl) Luna, David Luna, Mary (Rick) Hyde, Mike (Linda) Luna, Danny Luna, and Pat (Chuck) Yanta;



 



13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter;



 



siblings, Enrique Luna, Elia (Edward) Garcia, Natividad Garcia, Sylvia McCown and Gloria (Fred) Haas;



 



and sisters in law, Juanita Luna and Ofilia Luna;



 



He was predeceased by Gregorio Luna, III, his son, Gregoria Luna, Sr., his father, Celestina Luna, his mother, brothers, Arturo Luna, Adolfo Luna, Rogelio Luna and Ruben Luna.
