Gregory James Anstey, 21, of Baroda, passed away Friday, June 16, 2006 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Fr. William Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Greg was born August 23, 1984 in St. Joseph to James & Beverly (Hendrix) Anstey. He graduated from Lakeshore High School in 2003. Greg enjoyed working on his truck and motorcycle, going to car shows with his father, playing pool, and spending time with his many friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Greg is survived by his father James Anstey of Baroda; his mother & step-father-Beverly & Jon Crocker of Stevensville; his sister Jessica (Phil) Deam of Baroda; two nieces-Kayla & Tara Deam; his maternal grandparents-Warren & Anna Jean Hendrix of St. Joseph; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
My son Jason and Greg went to school together at Lakeshore.They were good friends.Jason is presently working in Afghanistan.He is very saddened by the loss of a great friend and wanted me to make sure you knew. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.
