GREGORY R. BENNETT, 58, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, in Fort Wayne. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Gregory worked at Seyfert's, was a member of come2go Ministries, and had been a member of 50's plus group at First Assembly of God. Greg was active with the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission, various other church bible studies, along with having a street ministry. He is survived by his son, Anthony R. Bennett; brothers, Steven C. Bennett of Fort Wayne and Ronald (Vienna) Bennett of Oakbrook, Ill.; nephews, Andrew M. Bennett of Tucson, Ariz. and Dr. David Bennett M.D. of Chicago, Ill.; niece, Dr. Kimberly Bennett M.D. of Chicago, Ill.; and former wives, Resa and Elizabeth. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Robert P. and Emaline H. Bennett; and uncle, William E. Maloley. Service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. You were my friend, I loved you, I loved dancing with you. May God take you into heaven. I have missed your smile and the wonderful Bible discussions we had alone and in our group of friends.
