Another one of my great baseball players has passed. Greg was a great player but a better human being. He was hard working, a pleasure to coach, showed respect for others and loved to compete. One day in practice we split the squad into two teams to work on executing our offense. Toward the end of the drill the score was tied and Greg stood on second base, a ball was hit in the infield and Greg slid into home wearing shorts, was safe, won the game. He jumped up like he won the World Series....

Best recollections are Greg catching a touchdown pass from Steve Young and escorting my wife to the dance floor during a wedding reception.

So, So sorry to hear of Greg's passing. He was a champion at Viewmont High School. A true leader in the positive directions for all of his peers. May God bless you as you come to grips with this difficult challenge. My prayers will include all of Greg's family.
