Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of Greg's passing. I was a fan of his many books long before I had the pleasure of meeting both of you when you came to talk to our fifth graders. I was one of the fifth grade teachers when Abby D. was in our grade at E. H. Phillips. I continue to share some of the wonderful stories he shared with our students. His passion for history truly ignited that same interest in many of our students. His legacy will live on.

The first time I walked across the field of Pickett's Charge, Greg Coco was the leader. That started a friendship with a fine man, a great historian, a true patriot. He will be missed.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Deepest sympathies to a grand gentleman, patriot-soldier and historian. He touched millions profoundly and will be missed.
May he rest in the peace.

Dear Cindy and family,
Please accept my condolences on your loss. It is impossible to know how many battlefield visitors Greg touched as well as all the others who were motivated by his writings. Greg’s service to our country had a profound impact on him that he shared to relay compassion to others when telling the stories from the Civil War. On behalf of the hundreds teachers Greg touched at our summer institutes, we are indebted to him and grateful for his passion.
