COX, Gregory Elvin - Of Burton, age 50, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2009 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Brother John Henson officiating. Visitation 12 Noon Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Gregory was born in Flint on December 19, 1958 the son of Cleo and Barbara Cox. He graduated from Flint Southwestern High School, Class of 1976 and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Gregory was a lifelong resident of the Flint area. He was a Truck Driver for Automotive Component Carrier. Surviving are wife, Vicky; son, Gregory, daughter, Jamie; mother, Barbara Cox; two brothers, Michael (JoAnna), Rob (Carrie); sister, Shiela (John) Brand; many nieces and nephews.
