CLINTON
Gregory E. Desautels, 46, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021, in his home, after being stricken ill.
He leaves his mother and step-father, Suzanne (Kilcoyne) Nolan and Philip Nolan, Jr., with whom he lived; a brother, Brian Desautels and his wife, Cathy, of Holden; a sister, Johnna Quinn, and her husband, Steven, of Lancaster; seven nieces and nephews: Brendan and Molly Desautels, and Maggie, Jack, Max, Sam and Joe Quinn; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his father, Brian Desautels, of Sterling.
Greg was born in Worcester and raised in Clinton. A graduate of Clinton High School, he worked for various area businesses over the years.
He was a life-long member of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish, and was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed watching all of the Boston sports teams, and rooting for all of his nieces and nephews at their sporting events throughout the years.
Greg and his family are eternally gratefully for the gift of life that he was given 31 years ago, when he became a kidney transplant recipient, and for the continuity of care that he received at Tufts Floating Children’s Hospital, and later, Tufts Medical Center, Boston. His warm smile, and friendly, outgoing personality will be forever remembered.
Greg’s funeral will be held on SATURDAY, June 5, 2021 from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on THURSDAY, June 3, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to one of two organizations that helped Greg tremendously during his life: March of Dimes, 515 Madison Ave, 20th floor, New York, NY 10222, or to Tufts Children’s Hospital Development, ATTN: Nephrology, 800 Washington St., Box 231, Boston, MA 02111.
