Not sure what to say?

Uncle Greg, I miss you every day and will continue to do so forever. I wish I could have gotten to know you more and had more time with you. I know Geoffrey wishes he got to meet you and is honored to be named after you. I love you.

Greg, this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you. I recently graduated medical school and sometimes I think I don't want to do this. Med school was tough and kindness is rare to find. I'm struggling. But I will live my life the way you did yours, as long as I do, and be kind, humble, and friendly. It comes to me easily but it's not taken easily. That's okay, as long as I know you too were here, once upon a time.

We miss you .

If you thought God, your mother, or lover were watching, you'd be on best behavior, right? But, that is how Dr. Greg Feldman acted always:

1) An anxious patient yelled, "I don't even know what this surgery is going to be about!" Dr. Feldman walked in, with perfect posture/composure, and calmly/respectfully drew a picture of her organs, where the cut was going to be, and explained why. She said, "Oh, okay", and went to sleep;

2) I was doing a project and didn't understand...

I was a med student on general surgery clerkship and had I heard a lot of good things about him from other med students who had him as their chief resident. On a call day during the weekend, I was headed to the OR for an emergency add on case dealing with an infection. Greg was also getting ready for his own case, when saw me. I introduced myself as the med student about to scrub in for the add on. He right then and there gave him his 2 minute approach to surgical antimicrobials. I...

I am grateful to have worked with you and experience the compassion and kindness in your voice and in the healing that you helped people find. I am a better person because of you. Your parents, family and friends will be in my thoughts and prayers. May you rest in peace.

I am a PACU nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and had the pleasure of working with Greg. He was a very compassionate and caring doctor who was always kind and courteous to the nurses and his patients.I was on call with him on a Saturday when one of the vascular patients needed to go back to the OR for emergency surgery. Greg stayed by the patient throughout the PACU admission until the patient was ready to go back to the OR. He kept the family informed and did everything he could to...

Dear Sid:

We share your deep sorrow on passing of Gregory. It was a great loss to the community and is very shocking. Our heartfelt condolences and sympathy during this very uncommon ordeal of life. Life is sometimes strange, sometimes sad and sometimes very lucky experience as we all are aware. Time would heal but the healing would undoubtedly leave permanent scars in all of us and I am sure you would be able to move on as we have seen happening with most of our patients.

I, like so many, have lost one of my best friends. Greg had that effect on people. Iam missing his humanity and humor and above all his friendship.
