My fondest memory of Stubby , we were standing out on a dock in a remote channel north of Stuart Island, BC. The gang had just had a great meal with Heinricht and Doris, and Stubby and I decided we were going to identify constellations. Is that Casiopeia? Aquavit was involved. Even though years passed since I ran into him, it always seemed as though we just picked up where we left off. The greatest guy I think, I ever had the pleasure to know. Greg was one of my best friends. I had so many experiences with him over my life. We wouldnt see each other for long periods of time but when we picked up the phone the conversation always started where we left off.
Stubby was one of the good guys in this world, never a discouraging word.
His passing has left a big hole in the hearts of 100's of people who counted him as a good friend and buddy.
I will remember him and miss him the rest of my days.

Bev & family,
Please accept our heartfelt sympathies for your loss.
I was fortunate to spend many summer days on the softball field with Stubby. It was a privilege to play with #3. The Gus-n-Naps team photo is displayed proudly in our home.
It helps serve as a reminder of the wonderful times and strong ties that were formed. Time is so very precious.
The memory of Stubby will always be in our hearts.
Sincerely,
Joe & Julee Pitalo

Our family was blessed to know Stubby, throughout our years at the fields playing baseball and just having fun. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all now. Love The Sorensens. (Surrey, BC Canada)
