Dear Kathy and Family,

I am most grieve to hear of your loss. I was a high school friend and classmate of Greg (Seattle Prep). I just got word today, as a classmate of ours mentioned the passing of 2 others from class of '76, Tom Stapleton and Jim Dougan in the past month. Please accept my condolences, and I will pray for him.

Yours,

Marty Miller

Dear Hampton family, dear Kathy!

I worked with Greg in Amsterdam at the European Marketing Center for HP about 20 years ago. I just received the news from another former colleague.

My wife Roswitha & I are shocked and very, very sad about these news. We do remember Greg and Kathy very well. The picture is a very good capture of Greg's personality and how we’ll remember him. Always very open, enthusiastic and with lots of humor…

A big loss. Our deepest...

Dear Hampton family
Greg was my manager at HP for a number of years - and remains one of the best managers I've ever had. He was a great coach, advocate and leader to our team. His sense of humor and fun made a real difference to my day to day work. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you at this time.

My thoughts, prayers and sympathy go out to the Hampton family for such a profound loss. Greg was one of the first people I worked with at HP and I will never forget his perpetual smile, intelligence and helpfulness. What a loss for our world.

Peace & love,

I am so sorry for your loss. When I first started my HP career about 14 years ago, I worked with Greg. He was one of the best managers to work with. Even though I was new to HP, a temp worker and a little green to HP processes, he always treated me with respect. To me that showed the strength of his character. He was willing to spend time with me to answer questions and help develop solutions to issues. I really appreciated his help. He always had such a positive attitude and a smile...

Greg & I worked together in Amsterdam more than 20 years ago in the European Marketing Center for HP. He was widely respected across all of Europe for his business knowledge, but even more as a fun-loving guy with that infectious smile of his. He brought a lot to our early days in the marketing Center.

I knew Greg from Sacred Heart, and Boy Scouts. A "few" years have passed since those days, but the memories are clear.

Over the years I'd occasionally hear about Greg from mutual friends, but regret that we never had a chance to reconnect.

Sincere condolances to the family, and a belated salute to a kindred spirit; I guess we'll have to get caught up in another place/time.
