Gregory Alan Henke

I am still saddened by the loss of this great man. I have been a friend of the family for many years and I loved Greg as a son.

Greg and I were classmates at Capital High School in Boise, Idaho. We swam in different circles with different groups when we were there. But Greg and I did know each other, and we were friendly. I can recall seeing him up at Bogus Basin when groups of us would hit the slopes after we got out of classes at mid-day. I seem to remember him wearing a dark blue (probably Navy) stretch ski pant with a bright yellow stripe down each leg. I ran into Greg later in life when he was in his "Realtor...

I first met Greg at Micron about 15 years ago. He was a Safety engineer and I was an Equipment engineer. We also worked together in real estate. Greg did an inspection on a home being bought by a Simplot safety engineer. At one point all three of us engineers were in the house talking (a realtors nightmare). Greg was my high school sweetheart, the love of my life and the man that set the standard for all other men that came into my life after we parted. I will always fondly remember our days struggling to get started in adult life and marriage. He does and always has had a place in my heart and memories.
May he rest in peace as he is never forgotten and is always loved.

My deepest sympathy is extended to Greg's family in this time of loss. I met Greg at Micron Technology, and worked with him and became friends over a 20 year span. He lived life to the fullest, and I am a better man for having known him and counted on him as one of his friends.

I will do my best to honor Greg by living my life to the fullest and loving my family as he so passionately did.

I've been a friend of the Henke family for over 45 years and known Greg since he was a teenager and a friend of my Son and Daughter. I lost my Son in 1998 and losing Greg, who was like a Son, was losing my son all over again. My daughter and I saw this beautiful, wonderful man the night before he left for Turkey. He was so excited as we also for him. My love and condolences go out to all of his family.
