HOBBS, Gregory, passed away on August 2, 2010, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His memorial service was held in Union Grove, Wisconsin at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery August 13, 2010. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Hobbs; and was the son of the late Wilbert B. Hobbs; his children, Nicole Hobbs-Carter, Gregory Tyson-Buelow, Damien Jae Hobbs-Johnson, Jordan Hobbs-Johnson and Jocelyn Hobbs-Johnson; and three siblings, Mr. Wayne (Jackie) Hobbs, Ms. Gwendolyn Ambrose, and Ms. Mary Elam; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Gregory was a graduate of Maggie L. Walker High School in 1966.

To the Hobbs Family, What I remember most about my schoolmate and neighbor is that on the day of graduating from Maggie L. Walker High, we both marched across the stage as proud Mighty Green Dragons to receive our diplomas. When we arrived home, we realized we had been given the wrong diplomas. He had mine and I had his! I was happy that we lived on the same street and only two blocks away! Family, be encouraged as you treasure the great moments you all had with him. May the Peace of God...
