Gregory Scott Ladwig, 40, of 2352 Werner Street, Marquette, died Monday evening, October 28, 2002 at Bell Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Ladwig was born on September 20, 1962 in Iron Mountain, Michigan and was a 1981 graduate of Marquette Senior High School. Greg worked as a waiter at Chicago area restaurants including the Chicago Hilton and Towers, Morton Steak House and Gordon's.
He possessed a love of music and enjoyed singing Karaoke. An avid bingo player, Greg owned and operated the bingo concession stand at the Women's Center in Marquette for two years. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family as well as being out on Lake Superior.
Survivors include his mother, Karen A. Lohf of Marquette; one brother, Jeff Billie Ladwig of Marquette; three step-brothers, Warren Margo Lohf of Covington, MI, Fred Lohf of Montana and Greg Micki Lohf of Henderson, NV; one step-sister, Rose Marie Lohf of Henderson, NV; a nephew, Sgt. Aaron Zoppetti of Camp Casey, Korea; four aunts, Sandra Thompson of Denver, CO, Donna Lewis of Indianapolis, IN, Shirley Wilke of Iron Mountain and Joyce Gardepy of Salt Lake City, UT; also surviving is a special friend, Judith Donckers of Marquette. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Ladwig in 1997 and his step-father, Edward Lohf in 1993.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Olson officiating. Greg's family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
