Gregory Naumann Obituary

Gregory T. Naumann
Gregory Thomas Naumann, 35, a beloved husband, father, family member, and friend, died November 23.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Letizia) Naumann, and their three precious children, all of New Fairfield, CT.
Greg was born May 26, 1982, in Carmel, NY, to his adoring mother Sharon Laird, of Wappingers Falls, NY, and caring father George Theodore Naumann, of Holmes, NY. He is also survived by his loving sister Bonnie Winchester (Daniel), of Saratoga Springs, NY.
Greg's musical talent included a fine baritone voice, which rounded out his family's four-part harmony during his childhood car trips. He was a childhood member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brewster, NY, and 2000 graduate of Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak, NY.
Gregory had a scientific and inquiring mind, which allowed him to succeed in the retail trade, particularly at JC Penney, where he met JoAnn, and later in information technology, at firms such as Boehringer Ingelheim.
He attended St. Edward the Confessor in New Fairfield with his young family. Never without a camera, Greg loved to attend his sons' extracurriculars and watch family films with his youngest nestled in his lap. He also liked to cook, shout at NY Rangers and Yankees games, read fantasy, and track astronomical events.
Survivors also include: stepfather Joseph Laird, father-in-law Joseph Letizia; sister-in-law Judith Collentine (George), stepsisters Jodi Leight and Jenny Audo (Kenny); aunts and uncles Barbara Bierwiler (Charles) of Wantage, NJ, Rebecca Rodland (Stan) of Marshalls Creek, PA, Nancy Curtis (David) of Great Valley, NY, Joanne Swift (William) of Potsdam, NY, Paul Naumann (Nikki) of Union, NJ, Harry Weiland of Gardiner, NY; uncles-in-law Joseph Fidaleo (Linda) of New Fairfield and Ralph Fidaleo (Margaret) of Stamford; cousins Suzanne McBroom (Samuel), Robert Weiland, Jenna Weiland, Katie Bierwiler, and Andrew Bierwiler, as well as many nieces- and nephews-in-law and cousins-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017 at St. Edward the Confessor Church, Brush Hill Rd., New Fairfield, CT.
Greg's goodbyes will be said 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to 'The Naumann Children's Education Trust', c/o Newtown Savings Bank, 99 Federal Road, Brookfield, CT 06804.

Dear George and Family,

So many years between us yet Time captures moments for all eternity and tickles Memory here and there as they suddenly and randomly surface. I enjoy every one each time one romps through my mind.

How much more will Time allow you the innumerable wonders of the many moments you and your son shared over a lifetime. Let them surface with abandon and revel in each one, for they are your safeguard against grief. Share them with joy, with tears, with sadness and with Hope, for the Day will indeed dawn when sorrow and grief are banished from Creation and Joy will fill our eternities.

I pray the Spirit of the Almighty God embrace your hearts with Peace as you walk through this valley; hugs.

Colleen
