My heartfelt condolences to Jan and the entire Rasmussen family. I had the sincere privilege of serving as Greg´s executive assistant for ten years. It was an honor to support him and come to know his wonderful family during that time. Greg was a kind and gentle leader, thoughtful in his approach and generous in nature. Greg was my friend and neighbor in Cedar Hills since 1954. Although older than I, he went out of his way to help me develop skills in baseball and football. He was like a big brother who cared, one who was patient, and sincerely wanted me to succeed. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone nor did he ever lose his temper no matter what mistakes others may have made. I was a close friend of Greg's beginning with kid-baseball in Cedar Hills and then at Sunset high School. We were Fiji fraternity brothers while attending U of O, and both of us graduated from the Business School in 1967, coincidentally next to each other alphabetically at the ceremony. I stayed in touch with Greg over the years enjoying golf with him at the Portland Golf Club and in Sunriver where other old friends (often Phi Gams) would complete our foursomes.
