Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory - Ballwin Obituary

Ray, Gregory K., passed away, Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the age of 62.

Loving husband of 37 years of Diane Ray (nee Kloeppel); dear father of Jennifer (Stuart Gilmore) Linhares and Christopher (Tara) Ray; grandfather of Mikayla Linhares, Calvin Ray, Thomas Ray and Caroline Ray; son of Alice Ray (nee King) and the late Maurice Ray; brother of Nancy (Mike) Comer, the late Steven Ray, Randy (Paula) Ray; loving uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend.

Greg enjoyed living a simple life. His happiest moments were spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. His passion for the outdoors was evident as he spent countless hours exploring nature and caring for the home gardens while listening to his favorite classic rock music. His vast knowledge and love for fast and loud hot rods, especially Chevy trucks was enormous. Greg will forever inspire us by reminding us to appreciate the beauty of the past and to embrace the timeless treasures that bring joy to our lives.

Services:   Private Memorial Service at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Luke's Hospital or the Missouri Department of Conservation. Friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.

Not sure what to say?

Prayers for continued peace and that joyful memories comfort you and your family daily.

I grew knowing Greg , he was always happy and smiling , you will truly be missed . Rest in peace friend .

Greg! I would think to thank you for 48 years of great memories and story's. Not a night goes by where I don't think about you. Like when I'm heading down to get my game on and I would send you a text. Or when I run into a new Hot Wheel release and I would have to send you a pic. Enough about you and I, we will play catch up on a later date. Diane, Jennifer and Chris, my heart goes out to you all! Hugs to each and everyone of you.
With All Our Love.
Scott & Margie
