Gregory T. Rowe

I met Greg with his partner & husband Ken in August 1990 when they were on vacation in Stockholm, Sweden. We became instant friends and met up many times in many places where our friendship and exchanges continued as though there had been no hiatus. Always exceptional company, with a terrific sense of humour and great and passionate love of the arts, Greg was such fun to be with. Greg brought both enormous passion and ferocious intellect to championing and demonstrating the arts' role in building better communities and people. He understood the arts' value -- both intrinsic and instrumental -- in improving quality of life for everyone. Greg was a true leader and loyal friend.

I worked with Greg at Pew, he was a creative force in the arts in Philadelphia. His leadership will be missed
