Peaceful Reflections

I'm am so saddened to learn about Greg's death. It was my good fortune to meet Greg through my husband. He was best man at our wedding, and Greg and Pam have remained more than just friends for 40+ years. I can only end with saying God speed good and faithful servant. You were always "more than adequate"....a response Greg gave at his wedding reception about the gifts given to he and Pam. Hilarious!

Pam, as it happens when people move away - thoughts come across the radar but the personal contact flies away. I am reminded of the missions trips Greg made as an act of his faith. A true storyteller and someone with an optimistic laugh and smile. From a distance, there were no one more important than you and the kids. No one ever says, "I'm good at grief" and the amount of pain is related to how important Greg was/is to you all. It's my belief that God offers peace during times of grief.

Words are never enough at times like these. I have so many good memories of Greg and the entire Sears family. His sense of humor always came through at just the right time. His participation in musical events was always special and his commitment to the "Instruments of Faith" at First Congregational in Norfolk meant so much to me and will always have a place in my heart. His professional practice touched so many people and I'm sure he is remembered by them for his care and compassion. My...

Pam, I was scrolling through the obituaries in the OWH today and was shocked to see that Greg had died. I'm so sorry for your loss. Our families had some good times when we were starting our adult lives in Maple Village. Jerry Magner

I have missed Greg & Pan since moving to Omaha. I was glad to run into both of you a while back at the Holland Center. My condolences, take care & know that God loves you.

Oh Pam and family - I am so sorry to hear about Greg´s passing. I have so many fond memories of him (and you) from Norfolk, and especially activities at church, like bell choir. He was truly a kind and compassionate soul. You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you begin your journey without him. Your friend in Christ, Brenda Anderson-Sebastian
