Gregory Lamont Smith

When I hired on at IBM, Greg was my mentor. He was a wonderful, caring, and loyal friend and person. He always looked on the positive side of life, and never complained. He always wanted and expected to carry his share of the load and never sought sympathy. Greg was a genuine person and will be missed by all that knew him.

Greg, I have thought of you often and will always remember the consideration that you showed that meant so much to me and my family.

My sympathy goes out to your family. Greg and Joan gave me my first real teaching job and I worked for Melvin Smith for 9 years. I always felt that Greg was so upbeat and kind despite his own health concerns.
