Not sure what to say?

t know how Greg acquired the nickname "Grumpy". I never thought of hi as one of Snow White's dwarfs more like an elf with a twinkle in his eye and a ready smile. Regardless of the venue Greg was a teacher. Whether precepting in the clinic or giving a talk in a classroom he was smart and his caring attitude towards patients and students was always foremost. His Grand Rounds were organized, funny and well attended. May Sto-vo-kor welcome you.

My deepest condolences go to all of Greg´s family at this sad time.Greg was an inspiration to work with, bringing dedication, kindness, compassion to the families and teams he worked with. I was lucky to be his colleague. Peace to all who shared his life and livelihood. He made a big difference. Dayle Maples

David and Family - We are so sorry for your loss. We hope that you find peace in the days ahead and are left with more warm memories than tears. From your friends at MDHHS - Alinda, Crystal, Eric, Janice, Paula and Robin

I am so sorry to learn of Greg's passing. His kindness, wisdom and sense of humor were treasures as he mentored me and others in family practice residency, 1986-89 in Saginaw. He also served as our daughter's pediatrician for a brief time in Grand Rapids. He had an amazing mind and an even more amazing spirit. I'm surprised to see the nickname "Grumpy," as I never saw him grumpy once! RIP Mentor and Friend.

David and Brian, My deepest sympathies. Your dad was an excellent pediatrician and a faithful advocate for the NF community. I was honored to call him a friend. As premature as his passing seems, the universe determined that he and Pat had been apart long enough. I think of them happily reunited.

I worked with your Dad at Blodgett/Spectrum Health for many years prior to 2000. He was extremely competent but his kindness and genuine regard for his patients was even greater. He stepped in to work with Neurofibromatosis Clinic, a population close to my heart as a social worker. You have my deepest sympathy. Rest in peace, Greg.

Greg was one of the first residents I worked with when I came to Grand Rapids in 1990 as a fresh out of fellowship pediatric critical care physician. Here was a guy who had been a nurse and finished a family practice residency and now was halfway through a pediatric residency and I was supposed to be his teacher. I think we learned from each other. I have always admired Greg's dedication to children and their families, as well as, his intellect, compassion, and kindness. He was a patient...

Sending all of the Trowbridge family my sincere condolences. I am so sad to hear of Dr. Trowbridge's death. I worked with him for a few years and he was always the best! My sympathy.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dr Trowbridge's passing. I was a nursing student at GVSU and did a summer externship in the Peds ICU in 1992....then went on to work there after graduation. Greg was ALWAYS such a great teacher....patient with a new nurse, always explaining what was happening and why...in such a thoughtful manner. He was the same with every patient and family members. I always felt confident in his decisions....there was so much heart behind them. I worked with him for 5 years in the...
