Not sure what to say?

I still have the last voice mail message I received from Greg. It was about some potential work up his way. Every time I clear out my voicemails, I listen to it and his distinctive voice. I cant seem to delete it. He is missed.

Dear Maryanne, Lois and the Wedner Family,

So very sad for your loss. My brother Marcus spoke with Greg last year when our father passed, and really appreciated his contact and friendship. You are in my thoughts. Wishing you comfort and love.

I'm sorry this is late. I only learned of Greg's passing today while attending another colleague's memorial. I am so saddened by the news. It's an incredible shock. Greg and I had known each other for many years and met while he was conflict counsel defending my Department, LAPD. In my role, he and I worked together to defend the LAPD and also worked together on the alumni board of our mutual law school, Southwestern. It was actually at his urging that I joined the alumni board while I was...

Maryanne: I was stunned to hear the news about Greg since I didn't know about his illness and he didn't mention it when I spoke to him last year around the time of my father's passing. I had such fond feelings toward Greg as a youngster...he was always so cheerful and even keeled and was always a great listener and conversationalist. Of course my parents were big fans of Greg's too. They thought he was a true mensch. I'm sure he will remain a shining light for your whole family for a...

This is tragic news for so many, and I'm so sorry to Greg's family.

Greg was such a mentor to me as a new attorney, and his teachings remain with me, daily, 23 years later. I didn't like law school much and was unsure about being a lawyer; but Greg inspired me and led me to love the law, which I do today. I know that I am just one of so many attorneys he affected in this way. I know that his family is suffering most of all, but his contributions to the legal field are simply...

The World has lost a wonderful man! I feel so blessed to have known Greg- his love of family and genuinely kind nature to all enhanced my appreciation for the good in people. HIs humor and wit made me laugh so many times. I am so grieved by his sudden loss. Much love to Greg's family. He is simply irreplaceable- one of a kind.

Maryanne, Jimmy and Katie, I am deeply saddened by the news of Greg's passing. He was a very kind and considerate man, as well as an outstanding attorney. I was always impressed with Greg's easy manner and his willingness to share his legal wisdom with younger attorneys. He has had a great impact on many. My heart is with each of you on the profound loss of your husband and dad, and I send my heartfelt condolences during this truly difficult time.

The legal practice has lost someone who actually knew how to write. We are diminished professionally by his loss. We are certainly diminished personally. My thoughts and prayers for Maryanne and the rest of the family.

To the Wedner Family : I was just so sorry to hear about Greg's passing on June 30, 2015. While I knew Greg for just a relatively short period of time in professional circles in Los Angeles in the 1990's, he was certainly among the wisest and kindest among us, just a wonderful man. I know of no one who combined professional life and family life as well as Greg did. I recall seeking out his advice about this and that from time to time, and as so very busy as he always was, he unfailingly had...
