Dr. White was my mom´s OB in 1976 and they were planning a homebirth for me. But labor progressed too quickly and he gave instructions to my mom and Dad to meet him at the hospital. He gave instructions in the unlikely event that mom gives birth in the car. And she did! Mom delivered me in the back of the station wagon while Dad was driving. Mom said that upon arrival of the hospital, Dr. White said to my Dad, who was nervously waiting to see if I checked out as healthy, "only perfect...

Dr. White delivered the eight babies of my Italian parents. My mother always spoke so highly of him. At my birth, he complimented her highly on her choice of the name Jane, "so simple and beautiful" he told her. Today I read his obituary and am astonished at his beautiful and amazing life. Dr. Gregory, I want you to know today that the little Jane you delivered in 1955 grew up to be a scholar, a ballerina, Chicago Columbus Day Italian beauty queen medical professional, musician, a neurology...

Dr. White did so much for me. He delivered 2 of my 6 babies. I always left his office feeling more competent. Being a mother is hard work.

Listening to a lecture about birth complications that Dr. White gave probably years ago. What a gem he was, if only his wealth of knowledge and innate wisdom could be bottled for doctors today.

I'm so sorry to finally find this. Dr. White saved my life and I have been searching for him or relations ever since

Dr. White was with me when my children were born. He came to our home to attend the births. He was always very calm and provided us with all the answers to our many questions. He introduced us to La Leche League, without which I would have been lost as far as breast feeding them was concerned.
Sometimes we had to wait in his waiting room for quite a while, our appointment time having gone by, but when it was our turn he always took as much time with us as we needed. So it was well...
