WILBORN, Mr. Gregory A. Sr.-age 61 passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Monday, June 30, 2014 with 9:30 am family hour at Abundant Life Ministries 5402 Clio Rd., Flint, MI 48504. Pastor Viola Greene officiating. The final resting place for Mr. Wilborn will be Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI. Calling hours are 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Saturday, June 28th and 10:00am- 6:00 pm Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Serenity Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Gregory Alan Wilborn, Sr. was born August 2, 1952 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Jimmie and Barbara Wilborn. Mr. Wilborn was a long time resident of Flint, MI. He accepted Christ at an early age. Mr. Wilborn graduated from Flint Central H.S. c/o 1969. Later he joined the United States Air Force in 1970 and received an Associates Degree in business administration. Mr. Wilborn was employed by the City of Flint for more than 20 years. He loved entertaining and being entertained, he also enjoyed cowboy movies and various sports. Mr. Wilborn especially loved his family. He will always be remembered for his giving spirit, crazy sense of humor, the ability to give everyone a nickname, his protectiveness of family and friends, his exceptional work ethics "Better not take a day off work" and his love of life.

Mr. Gregory A. Wilborn, Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: 4 children, Tyrome Q. (Tracey) Maxwell, Corey L. (Arlene) Wilborn, Gregory A. (Angelea) Wilborn, Jr., Anika R. (Brandon) English; 9 grandchildren, Sylvia Maxwell, Tyrome Maxwell II, Olivia Maxwell, Marselis Wilborn, Miles Wilborn, Gregory Wilborn III, Gavin Wilborn, Daelan Banks and Michael (Duece) Banks II; step-mother, Betty Wilborn; 8 sisters, Katina Wilborn, Addie (Lamar) Hillary, Terri Pearson, Lowis Flanigan, Janice (Curtis) Dixon, Sandra (Charlie) Weston, Cynthia (Ray) Pleasant, Rose Marie Wilbon; 9 brothers, Tommy (Lynn) Goler, Terry Goler, Tyrone Goler, Rodney (Sean) Goler, Dennis Goler, Kelvin (Annetta) Wilbon, Jonathan (Betty) Wilbon, Freddie (Ernestine) Harris, Jack Cochran; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends: Wesley (Bessie) Bickley, Charles (Rose) Holliman, Tommie Simmons, William Brown, Willie Brown, John (Sandra) Ragland, Orange Town and LEO Club Members and to all the female friends "Puddin's", and a host of "step momma's" as Daddy would say.

Mr. Gregory A. Wilborn, Sr. Was preceded in death by: father, Jimmie Wilborn; mother, Barbara Wilborn; brother, Eugene D. Wilborn; brother, Perry A. Wilbon.
