Not sure what to say?

Did not realize that Greg had passed in March. He was a special part of the Alder Beach gang for many years with his big smile and joyful laughs. Always a big warm hug from him!! My condolences to the family.

There have been many great contributions to Bona Hockey over the last several decades but as we celebrated with Coach this past summer, the genesis of the program was in the early 80´s. And despite all those who have been great contributors since, including our current team, Woody was the first heart and soul of Bona Hockey. The pregame behind the net, Woody. The goals when the team was backed against a wall, Woody, Woody, and then Woody. The never-quit-we´re-always-in-this attitude,...

I am so sorry for your loss. Woody was a great team mate at Bona's and i will only have fond memories of him ! Boro

Fond memories of Greg being friends with my older brother, Tom. Growing up together in what we called "The Briar Patch". These were the streets that we grew up on (Meadowbriar, Oakbriar, Pinebriar, Larchbriar, Glenbriar). Playing kick the can, swimming in The Moriarty's pool. Riding bikes through the field at the end of Paddy Hill Drive. Walking to Mother of Sorrow's School, no matter if there was 2 feet of snow or not. Snow ball fights on the snow mounds in the parking lot of MOS Church...

Woody was the best teammate at SBU anyone could ever ask for. He came to Bona´s and immediately raised the entire hockey program to another level. We had hundreds of people at our games coming to watch him play. He was by far the toughest player I had ever seen, but he was a great teammate to all of us and he and I were very close snd very dear friends. We called him Machine because he was 100% all the time playing ( he was the best), studying (no one worked harder in school) , or being the...

I had the honor of playing on a team with Woody at Lakeshore Rinks in the early 80's. He was a great teammate and his lasting impression on me was so strong that I've never forgotten him after all these years. He wil always live in the Light of Christ and in all of us who remember him. Prayers heading out for Woody's sould and to all in the family and friends who morn the loss of this great guy.

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

I was lucky enough to be a teammate of Woody's at SBU. Great person, leader and player. He took me under his wing when I was a freshman and taught me a lot. He was the rare combination of great player, leader and student. He was very determined in everything he did and it pulled us all along.

Sorry to hear of Greg´s passing. I knew Greg when he was a young boy when I was dating his sister Debbie. He was funny kind and a great kid. We took him and my brother to see the Jackson 5!! My best to his family and the rest of the Wood family.
