Not sure what to say?

I just keep thinking about how outraged Gretchen would be with today's political situation and how hard she would be working to make things better.

Gretchen and I knew each other and played together as young girls in Walla Walla. When we were introduced at an women's event in Portland in the 1970's Gretchen spotted the connection and our bond was renewed. She was a young mom then with two adorable little girls of her own. Our paths crossed through the decades with warmth and mutual fondness. The world seems diminished with Gretchen missing. My love to all her family; you were her joy.

I have lost a dear friend and colleague, as surely have innumerable others. Love to her family and all whose life she freely touched.

It was a pleasure knowing Gretchen. Iranian community of Portland, has lost a good friend.

The community lost a citizen with the courage of her convictions. God bless you Gretchen

So much of what Gretchen accomplished lives on and serves as an appropriate memorial to an...

We are sorry to learn of the passing of Gretchen, but grateful for her service to our nation with the Peace Corps in Iran.
