Ed, Nicole & Gabby,

Not a day goes by that I don’t remember your Mom/Wife. She truly was an inspiration to us all on how to live her life to the fullest. As a parent of an AOD student she inspired each and every girl as well as their parents that we must always look at the glass “half full” versus “half empty.” There comes a time to put on those “big girl panties” but most importantly live each and every day to its fullest. My tears flowed, when I heard of Gretchen's passing. Her sweet and gentle soul will be sorely missed here on earth. Ed, since then I've been flooded with memories of JD and I standing where you and the girls stand now. I know you'll search, but there are no rational explanations to cling to, no whispered magical words to ease the sorrow, or a substance capable of filling the silent void left by one so truly loved. However, time will bring you strength to go...

Dear Ed, Nicole, and Gabby,
Our deepest sympathy goes out to you. Gretchen was a wonderful person. Every time I talked to Gretchen all she could talk about was her husband and daughters. She loved her family more than anything. She was very happy. You now have a special guardian angel. If you need anything our family is here for you.

Some people make a difference just by being who they are. Gretchen made an impact on those around her with love, her kindness and her smile. She was a person who made this world a better, brighter place.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Gretchen I am blessed to of known you most of my life. I look up to you for all the strength, spirit, sense of humor, and love you had. I will be there for your family if they need anything. I know you are with your Mom and brother now and are looking down on all of us.
