Not sure what to say?

Dear Dale and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time of the year. While the rest of us have gone back to our busy lives, you live with missing your dear wife/mother each and every day. I can understand that feeling. I know she has touched many lives and her legacy lives on in her beautiful daughters and grandchildren. God bless,
Shellie, Mike, Claire and baby Andrew

Thanks to all who have signed this book. I am Gretchen's oldest daughter Erica. Some of you may remember me as a child as we did not leave Michigan until 1982. My mom often talked of her classmates and I travelled to Michigan for her 20th High School Reunion. She kept Grandma and I laughing until 2:00 a.m. with stories (mom was a great storyteller). I hope to contact some of you for those stories in the near future. Please email me anytime!

Dear Jennifer, Dale, Erika, Becky,& Doree,
I am profoundly saddened by Gretchen's passing. While so much time has past since we have 'hung out' together, the hilarity and poignancy of those experiences is as fresh in my mind as if it happened just yesterday.
I knew Grethen best at West Intermediate, although we stayed connected through early marriage. It was always exhilarating and sometimes taxing to be around Gretchen. In addition to having the time of your life, you were also bound...

To the Family of Gretchen,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Gretchen. I had lost touch with her over the years, however I remember seeing her at one of the class reunions. Mostly I remember the laughs we used to have during school. She always seemed to be smiling. She was a joy to know and always had a kind word for everyone.

To Gretchen's wonderful family,

I was stunned to return home from a long vacation and find out that Gretchen had passed. She was always such a fun and interesting person. We attended school together thru West Intermediate and Jackson High.

I have one anecdote to share that came to mind as my husband (who also went to school with us) and I were reminiscing about old times and Gretchen last night. It was at a reunion, perhaps our 20th, and we were sitting at a table having a...

Dear Dale and family:

I was, and still am stunned by the passing of Gretchen.
We grew up together in Jackson, and went all the way through school together. To this day whenever I pass her home on N. West Ave., the memories are still there.
Over the years we lost touch with each other (probably my fault). I had one last chance to see her when her mom passed away a couple of years ago. But somehow I couldn't find the time to make it to the funeral home.
Its hard to believe we...

Dear Dale, Erica, Jennifer, Rebecca, and Doree,
We are so sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife and mother, Gretchen. She was a very special person and a woman of great faith. You remain in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you, Shellie, Mike, and Claire

Even though I don't believe Gretchen knew me, I knew her.
So many people knew her because of charm, beauty and intellect. Jackson High School was a very large school with many, many students. She made an impact on
so many people. I also had the honor of having a class with her brother, Eric. What a wonderful person. It must of torn Gretchen and the family up to lose Eric in Viet Nam. I paid my respect to his name on the Viet Nam Memorial along with others from our class.
God Bless...
