Not sure what to say?

Dear Charles and family,
Chris and I were saddened to hear of Gretta's passing. While we were on opposite sides of the political aisle, my days on the DeKalb BOC were some of the most enjoyable in my life and working with Gretta was a big part of that enjoyment. On many occasions she was like my body armor when Manuel and I tangled.

Mike, Becky, Meredith, David and Sammy,
We are sorry to hear of your loss. Greata was certainly an amazing woman. May you have fond memories of her and give thanks that God gave you such a unique mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. You are in our prayers. We are sorry we were unable to visit you on Tuesday night or attend the funeral.
God bless you all,

Charles, Janie, Hank and all the family: Jerry and I are so sorry to hear of Gretta's passing. She was a joy to know and an inspiration. We always appreciated having her and you all with us through Manuel's campaigns, at the Tavern and at the various get togethers through these long years. You are a wonderful family and have been a great comfort and strength for us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss.

To Mike, Becky and family,
May the Lord grant you peace during this difficult time. Though we didn't personally know Gretta, she sounds like she was wonderful person to have known. You're in our thoughts and prayers.
