Not sure what to say?

I was going thru my contact list on my phone and there was Griffin's name and phone number. I so wish I could call him and hear his laughter and cheers of encouragement that he always had. But I know he hears us and protects us and awaits the next time we can laugh and enjoy our friendship together. Griffin, you remain in my heart.

Enrique and I continue to keep Griffin and his family in our prayers.

Although I did not know Griff well, I know that he was wonderful friend to many. He will be missed.

I suffer from loss of memory. Especially high school years and before. But I do remember Griffin. One of the few people I remember. Why? I think because he was meant to touch the lives of everyone he met. I didn't know him only that he always smiled, always laughed and was always kind. He touched my life and he did many others. I pray that God gives his family all the peace and love that can only come from Him. Let Him guide you and cast all cares upon Him. My prayers are with you all. God...

To the McCarthy's,

Although untimely, Griffin's passing in his own way has brought a group of people together that might not have otherwise crossed paths. I could tell how nice of family you are and how much Griffin meant to all of you. And, you should know how much he meant to all of us as well. Your son, brother, uncle and friend will be sadly missed.

With kindest regards,
Carol Kuzmich

I met Griffin in 3rd Grade. I have fond memories of him...he always brought a smile to my face and lots of laughs to all. My heart goes out to the McCarthy family and all those who hold him dear.

Just heard the news of Griff's passing from my parents in Naperville. My deepest condolences to his wonderful parents and family.
I completely lost touch with Griff, but will always remember with much fondness his wonderful smile and quick wit!

To the family and friends of Griff McCarthy,

I got to know Griff when my father coached him at Naperville North. Dad always thought very highly of him and so did I. He was fine young man and will be missed. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

They say there is a reason
They say that time will heal
But neither time nor reason
Will change the way we feel.

For no one knows the heartache
that lies behind our smiles,
No one knows how many times
we have broken down and cried.

We want to tell you something
so there won't be any doubt,
You're so wonderful to think of
but so hard to be without.

We cannot bring the old days back,
when we were all together

The chain is broken...
