Grover Epps Obituary
A native of Elbert County, Mr. Epps lived in Athens most of his life. He was the son of the late Seab and Cora Epps. His brother, Roy Epps, and sister, Florene Herbert, preceded him in death. He was a car salesman for 40 years and was most recently employed by Advantage Behavioral Health Systems. Mr. Epps was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and attended Oconee Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Epps of the home; a son, Melvin Epps of Pineville, LA; four stepdaughters: Janet Beard of Comer, Cassie Oakley of Athens, Marcia Mason and Lori Hyde both of Colbert; two stepsons: Steven Kinney of Duncan, SC and Brian Kinney of Danielsville; a brother, Willie Epps of Athens; two sisters: Daisy Autry of Carlton and Zuline Autry of Danielsville; a grandson; a granddaughter; a great grandson; four step-grandsons; six step-granddaughters; and 3 step-great granddaughters.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 2, at 11:00 a.m. at Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Crist Camden officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at Bernstein Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00.
