Guadalupe R. Larios, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister was called home by the Lord on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the age of 82. She was born to Cristobal and Candida Rivas on June 6, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas.


She loved to make floral decorations. She decorated her house for all holidays; Christmas being her favorite.


Guadalupe was preceded in death by her parents Cristobal and Candida Rivas; her son, Felipe Larios, Jr.; her brothers:   Benny Rivas, George Rivas, and Jesse Rivas.


Guadalupe is survived by her husband of 61 years, Felipe Larios; son, Gilbert Larios; son, Jerry (Gloria) Larios; daughter, Norma (Michael) DeTovar. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren: Gilbert Larios, II (Raquel), Stephanie Larios, Priscilla Ramirez, William Ramirez, Gabriella Larios, Gerry Larios, Joseph DeTovar, Jacob DeTovar, and Daniel DeTovar. Sisters: Elvira (Frank) Flores, Olivia (Joe) Dominguez, Carmen (Javier) Rodriguez; brothers: Hector (Mary Helen) Rivas, Henry Rivas. She was loved by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.


Visitation will begin on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. Catholic burial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mission Park South Cemetery.

I know that you can see your Gerry and Norma, along with their mates and your grandchildren, who I know have all of you in their hearts and on their minds. Betty is with you also.
