Guadalupe “Butch” Ovalle born on October 27, 1939 in Austin, Texas,
entered eternal rest on September 30, 2019 at the age of 79. He is
preceded in death by his parents, Hipolito Ovalle and Maria De Jesus
Garcia; brothers George Ovalle, Richard Ovalle and sisters, Mary Leal,
Estella Ovalle Lopez and Alice Ovalle Neira.
He is survived by his brother Paul Ovalle and wife Siglinde “Sigi” Ovalle;
sisters, Josie Medina and Margaret Navarro; numerous nieces and
nephews; as well as his close friend Dolores Morin.
Uncle Butch enjoyed spending time with his family and was known for
always helping someone in need. He was adored for being a generous
soul. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors as an avid runner
participating in various marathons throughout the country and even
being awarded several medals. He was also an accomplished singer,
pianist and violin” fiddle” player. This passion and talent would lead
him to performing as a member with the San Antonio Symphony and
Passion Play. He also participated as a Choir member at San Fernando
Cathedral. His presence in our lives will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 2:00 P.M. to
9:00 P.M. with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M in the Hillcrest
Chapel. Procession will depart Hillcrest Friday, October 4, 2019 at
9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. graveside service at San Fernando #3.
