Mrs. Guadalupe G. Perez, 85, of Laredo, entered into the loving presence of the Kingdom of Heaven on January 22, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by her loving family by her side. A beloved and most cherished mother whom taught us many of the things we know in this has gone to her rest in the hope of Christ’s resurrection. We entrust her soul to the most high and pray we continue to honor her legacy here on earth, always holding her in our heart. May you rest in peace.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Arturo Perez, Sr.; sons: Arturo Perez, Jr. and Alejandro Perez; parents: Marcelo and Rebecca M. Garcia; one brother and three sisters.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Hilda P. (Jorge) Diaz, Diana P. (Enrique) Torres, Alonzo (Emma) Perez, Lupita P. (Raul) Cisneros; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Joey, Esmeralda, Luzemma, Enrique, Edgar, Eddie, Rita Karina, Rebecca and Karolina; great-grandchildren: Angel, Gisselle, Mark, Ezequiel, Emily, Alex, Luis, Jordan and Victoria as well as by her lifelong friend and roommate, Josefina Cardenas.
In gratitude to Dr. D. Cantu, the nurses and staff of South Texas Primary Home Health and our most sincere appreciation to Dr. Blandchette and the Neuro-Science ICU at Methodist Hospital.
The family will gather to celebrate her life with a visitation on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral and Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd. with a Rosary at 7 p.m.
Funeral procession will depart the funeral chapel on Saturday, January 27, 2018 to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for a funeral Mass. Time for departure and Mass are pending.
A private cremation will be held at a later date.
Pallbearers will be: Alonzo Perez, Enrique Torres, Raul Cisneros, Joey Sandoval, Luis Villarreal, Enrique Torres, Eddie Torres, Edgar Torres and Mark Iruegas.
