Sweet Guenther, your 5 & 10 and your delightful personality gave me and many of my friends great memories while in high school and college. Smile on.

You will be missed by many not only relatives and friends but by all the people that came into the store for years. I will miss our wonderful chats about different products. And oh yes sometimes politics. You always had an answer if I was upset and always made me feel good after our conversation

I worked for Gunther in the 60s on Geary street while going to college. The old mr h and his son owned the stores at the time. It was the best job ever. Gunther was such a nice man and I've never forgotten him. Saw him and his family in Vermont years ago and didn't say hello. I always regretted that. Sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family.

Yesterday I walked past your condo in the morning and thought of you and Adele as I often do while walking our dog , but for a brief moment I visualized you getting out of your car in Sonoma, Cherry Ave parking lot and greeting us with "your" smile. It was a nice memory and it will always stay prominently in my mind. No one had a sweeter smile to share than you Gunther.
Paul and I feel sad that we haven't seen you in a while. We will miss seeing you around the Sonoma Greens....
