Guido Colla

Guido: Many thanks for giving me my first teaching job, at the original Crystal School in Suisun, CA. You and Rosie were always supportive and good friends to me and my family. RIP!

We were very sorry to learn of Guido's passing. We met on our cruise to Alaska. He was always full of questions at the dinner table about us Canadians. We'll always remember Guido and Rosie waving goodbye to us on the deck when we departed early in Victoria, Canada.

One of the finest men I have ever met. During his years on the Solano Irrigation District board he was always informed of the issues and listened to customers and employees equally. I always enjoyed our conversations about the county, golf and just about anything else.

I have know Guido for over 45 years, as both a colleague on our City Councils, me Vallejo and him, Suisun City and golfers at Green Valley. He was one of the nicest guys I have ever know, I will cherish the time he had taken me and my wife to see his son, Johnny play up at Hobergs, it was a nice we always have cherished. My deepest sympathy to his family . Guido, rest in peace my friend, you were one of the best...Terry Curtola

I met you years ago along with your lovely wife at the Armijo Alumni dinner in Cordelia. It was a privilege to have known you and I truly enjoyed your wonderful sense of humor. You led a life full of adventures and made many accomplishments. May you rest in peace, Mr. Colla, in the arms of God.
