Sylvia was a lifelong friend of our family. She and my father, Roy Sherman, attended University High School together. As a young girl in the 1950´s I always thought she had been his girlfriend and I don´t recall him correcting me! The last time I spoke with her was to tell her that my Dad had just died. I can still hear her anguish on the phone when I told her. I´m so so sorry to read of her death. She lived such a full rich life and was loved and remembered by many.

I was lucky enough to know Sylvia for over 30 years. She was a vibrant, and elegant lady! She came to the London lass beauty Salon for a long time And I got to know her very well. She was a big 49er fan since her husband Chico worked for them through all the Super Bowls. And I had the pleasure of doing her hair for the last 10 years. She was an extraordinary lady. My condolences go to the family. What a legend!

Sylvia used to get her hair done at my mom's salon in the Marina for many years. I remember she brought me a program from the 1st Super bowl the 49ers played against the Bengals. RIP Sylvia
