It is so hard to believe. I just heard the devastating news. I worked with Gunnar on Lake Mead and Mohave when I was stationed in Las Vegas. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as you try to continue on. My deepest sympathy. There was no finer man than he!-K. Knight.

I had an opportunity to spend a week with Gunnar about 14 years ago at AZ Post General Instructor School. Being the only two AZ Game and Fish officers there we helped support each other through all of the speeches we had to give throughout the week. After that long week I realized how much Gunnar loved NASCAR! Patrolling on the river and in the desert was always a good time with Gunnar. The last time I saw him he had a fire started and dinner on for those of us that had been farther out....

I didn't know Gunnar closely, but it didn't take much to see the bond he had with his wife and children. He was an example of a Godly and family man, full of adventure with a passion for life and the great outdoors. He was so good to my own 3 sons and have given them many fun and good memories, to which I am grateful and I'm sure they are as well. I can't begin to comprehend your grief. Taken way too soon. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers to Nancy, Dustin, Dallas, Drew, Katie and all of...

Gunner was a very good friend of mine. Very funny person we worked together at a transmission shop never a dull moment with Gunner. He will be miss he's is gone but not forgotten. Rest in Paradise

It was my good fortune to meet and work with Gunnar at the Arizona Game and Fish Department, and first patroled with him on the Colorado River near Laughlin and Bullhead - what a trip. A great marine law enforcement officer, game ranger, teacher, mentor and friend. Gunnar was always, ALWAYS a positive member of the team and a good back-up in any situation. Such a tremendous loss to the many communities he touched. Debbie joins me in sharing that our thoughts and prayers go out to all he...

Ah, the hectic pace of life, the grind; I so regret not staying in touch with my good buddy Gunnar. It was great meeting up again with Gunnar & other buddies for a quick get-together in 1988, but then back to the grind & we lost touch again. It was such heartbreaking news to hear of Gunnar's passing. Such an incredible void in the Erickson family now, but my heart is warmed knowing that he has 4 awesome children to carry on his legacy. To his wife & children: please know that even as a...

Definitely gone too soon. Gunnar was a great guy and will be missed by many. I worked with him and can attest to the fact that he was fun to have around, worked hard and got things done. Rest in peace my friend.

My prayers are with you all. We had been friends in high school. I still laugh when I think of Harvey, Perry, and all the rest of us laughing during lunch. He was a kind person.
