Not sure what to say?

Cynthia, your dad was an inspiration to all and we all shared his life vicariously through you, he will be sincerely missed.

Deepest sympathy to the family. May God strengthen and comfort you in this difficult time. Thoughts and prayers.

Whenever I dropped off my dry cleaning on the way downtown, I always hoped to see Gus and talk bridge. If we had played the night before, we would post-mortem some of the better hands. If I hadn't, he would write out his hands and ask me what I would do with them on the bidding; almost invariably, it was not what he had done!

Proud to own a business with his brothers!

To the Afendoulis family and friends; Gus was an amazing man. I know because I had the pleasure of working for him through high school and college. He greeted you with a kiss on each cheek, and a big smile. I remember delivering his bridge article to the GR press. He liked crosswords too. His kids were just as warm to me. Cherish the memories, as I will too. My deepest condolences. Love, Lynne- Moo ( Markucki) Marr

Remembering days of picking up dry cleaning, and getting burgers and ice cream at Glass Hut. Fond memories. Thank you. Mary Tolodziecki (Zukowski)

We send our heartfelt condolences to your entire family for the loss of dear Gus. With deepest sympathy, Hope Cares and Family

May his Memory be eternal. Lord wrap your arms around your loving and faithful servant and comfort his family and friends.

Dear Afendoulis Family,

Your dad was my first boss, 62 years ago (along with George and Sam on Michigan Street). My parents had gone to Afendoulis Dry Cleaners on Fountain Street, across from Michigan Bell, when I was just a little girl. I loved your Dad - he was unbelievably kind. He will always have a special place in my heart. He lived an amazing life. I know you will all cherish the beautiful memories. With deepest sympathy.

Peggy Noble Idema

Many fond memories of Gus at both the dry cleaners and the Glass Hut.
Please know that I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
