Not sure what to say?

Gus taught a master class at my studio, Classical Ballet School, in Oklahoma City many years ago. He was wonderful, creative, kind, fun, and everyone loved him. I am truly sorry to hear of his passing. He leaves many friends with wonderful memories of his vivacious personality. Kay Sandel, Director, Classical Ballet School and Professor of ballet at Oklahoma City University.

I am so sad to see why my most recent email to Dick went unanswered.
Although it's been many years that I had the privilege to be his student at the New York School of Ballet we always managed to keep in touch. To have Dick Andros as a teacher was an experience that will last a lifetime. His enthusiasm and genuine love of dance made each class he taught feel like you were on stage in a live performance.
The dance world has lost a great man. A dear friend and gifted teacher that was...

I'm one of Dick's Okie relatives. Most people don't know that Dick had two brothers, Plato and Dee, who had professional football careers- a real big deal in Oklahoma. Dick and Plato in particular. As one might imagine, their world views were dramatically different but they were all flamboyant story tellers. Family gatherings with all three in attendance were not to be missed.

Dick was my ballet teacher at Dartmuthe (Dance Art Music Theatre) Camp in Brewster, Cape Cod, during the summer of 1961 when I was thirteen. What an impression this extraordinary teacher made on me and the other young dancers! What a privilege it was to have been his student!!

I never met Dick Andros personally but I heard so much about him when I was a very young dance teacher at Camp Minnowbrook, Lake Placid, NY. because he had the same job the year before me.
Many years later we got in touch through his fascinating web site which I so enjoyed reading. We had so many similarities in our careers. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by his students and friends. I will miss reading his 'Androisms' and will always regret that I never had the chance to meet him...

I met Dick when we were both teaching at Harkness. I was a new teacher, and he showed me many kindnesses. I am grateful he was in my life
