Gust H. Sirounis

Hard to believe 4 years have passed. We all miss Mr. Gus and his sweet wife Mary. Hugs & love to all the family.

Mr. Gus gave me my first part time job when I turned 16 years old. I worked for them at the Lansing restaurant off of Ridge Road and Torrence ave. They are wonderful people. Thank you.

Ms. Mary, Danny, Bobby, Zoi esas. I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Gus. He was so good to me giving me a job when we were in high school. I will always have fond memories of my time working and enjoying a meal at the Commander.

Dear Mr. Gus, Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work for you. It was my first job as a dishwasher in 1976 at your restaurant in Lansing Illinois,I just turned 16 years old and I can still remember you and Mrs. Gus hiring me. At such a young age I was so excited. I worked for you and your family for about 6 months before moving on to another job offer. I learned quite a bit in the restaurant business from watching you and your family. May you Rest In Peace and I´ll forever be grateful...

Rest in peace, Mr. Sirounis. We will miss your kind welcome as we entered the Commander. You left a wonderful legacy in your beautiful family and a committed work ethic. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the dearest family of "Mr. Gus" , thanks for sharing Gust with all of us who always looked forward to seeing him when we walked into The Commander Restaurant for so many years. It's going to be a tough adjustment not being able to "chew the fat" with him anymore. Gust, a quiet man, he would always sit at the counter or a booth near the kitchen and chat with his friends. My sympathy to Maria and his family. Lovely people. R.I.P.

Gust was a great man, I enjoyed seeing Mr.Sirounis at The Commander Restaurant. My thoughts and prayers are with the Sirounis family.
