I just found out that Gus had passed away recently and was very saddened to hear the news. He will be greatly missed. I am a Professor of Engineering at the University of Rhode Island and started working with Gus almost 35 years ago on a NASA sponsored project. Gus was a tremendous person and mentor and we worked on many important projects for NASA. He was a world-class scientist and everyone greatly valued his contributions.
