I am so sad to hear of the passing of one of my favorite patient´s where I worked at a dental office. This dear, kind and gentle man always made my day when he walked into the office. When I think of my Dad, I think of honesty. I think of rising above the fray. How he faced challenges. How he kept the faith. No matter what. Always the gentleman, he taught by example. I did not know Gus Rylander but after reading this beautiful and loving obituary for him, I feel that I do and should have done so earlier. I actually read this to try to find a way to write my own father's obituary as he sadly passed away recently, and I paused on Gus's memorial because my mother shares his last name (maiden) as a Swedish immigrant. I could not have written anything better than you have. I share your loving grief for the loss of another great man.
