Rossi Funeral Home - Scotch Plains Obituary

Gustavo Grana 65 of Roselle Park & Scotch Plains died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown. 


  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 14, 2025, 9:30 am at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park. Followed by an Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.  


Gustavo was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and in April of 1975 immigrated to the United States. He lived in Newark, NJ and resided most of the rest of his life in Roselle Park.  
From the moment Gus arrived, he found employment as an Electrician,  working with his brother-in-law Eduardo. He became a member of the IBEW Local 164 electricians union in Paramus and has worked as an electrician for the past 50 years.


 Gus was a member of the Chestnut St. Saturday night meeting group, and the Wednesday in the living of the spirit group of AA. He was also a member of the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park, for many years.
Gus was a worldwide traveler, focusing most of his trips to South America, where he had been known to go on adventures to for as long as months at a time.  He  loved listening to music, especially rock and roll,  attending concerts, and being out on the water fishing.


Gus is survived by his son Anthony, Cherished Sister Maria S. Irigaray and husband Eduardo, Nephew Sebastian Irigaray, Niece Paulina and husband Chris Nieliwocki and their children Robbie & Sabrina.
