Guy Fritz Miller

 Guy Fritz Miller, 82 years of age, of Concord, NC went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.

Guy was born May 8, 1934 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late Clarence Allen Miller and the late Mattie Alice Klutz Miller. He was also preceded in death by three brothers Bruce, Clyde and Larry Miller; four sisters Clarice Isenhour, Ruby Cline, Frances Cline and Jean Davis.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Shue Miller of the home; five children Patty Hartley and husband Steve of Rockwell, NC; Nancy Turner of Concord; Mike Miller and wife Lisa of Rockwell, NC; Todd Miller and wife Cindy of Concord, NC; Wayne Miller and wife Trisha of Concord; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as his sister Ruth Penninger of Concord, NC.

He proudly served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957.  Guy was the Commander of the American Legion Post 51 for fifteen years.  He owned City Tin Shop of Concord for the past 57 years.  Guy loved working on his farm, and rebuilding old cars.      

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, November 21, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord officiated by Rev. Rick Wilson, Pastor Roger Bostic and Rev. Al Branscum.  Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church Cemetery with full military honors.
